We have an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer to be part of an exciting engagement in Fidelity Ireland under the Fidelity Corporate Technology Group (CTG).
 
You will be joining the Enterprise Communications team that is responsible for the design, development and implementation of the corporate intranet site - Fidelity Central, corporate directory lookup – Who’s Who, Communications Management Tool, Universal Measurement and several other applications.  This team is focused on strategic partnership with our business partners, and we value integrity, operational excellence, strong engineering, and technological innovation.
 
The team uses a variety of languages and frameworks and if you have experience in some or all of these, or are interested in learning new technologies, then this could be an ideal role for you! (e.g. .NET, Java, latest JavaScript frameworks, JEE technologies, Node.js, HTML, latest mobile technologies).
 
The Expertise We Are Looking For
 
  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • A software engineer who is passionate about their craft and has an interest and ability to learn and develop using latest web technologies and frameworks
  • Experience with C# programming language
  • A good level of experience in SharePoint development is very advantageous as the primary focus of this role will be working with SharePoint 
  • Ability to learn is vital –Microsoft Azure, Office 365, front end development
  • Proficiency with the JavaScript, HTML/CSS, MVC, REST web services, and JSON is desired but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with the following is an advantage but not required: Java, JSP, Spring MVC framework, AJAX.

 

The Purpose of Your Role

 

  • You will join a global team of people who are currently engaged on a multi-year strategy to design and deliver a range of new functionality for our business partners and Fidelity associates. Your role is a key contributor to all facets of the delivery process aligned to this strategy.
  • Contribute to technical analysis and design of our SharePoint application projects and to assist in our efforts of moving to SharePoint Online.
